Peter Van The Party Man is a one-stop shop for all your decorations and party supplies needs. It is the largest party store in Adelaide and delivers party supplies Australia wide.

Our client was previously using NopCommerce as their e-commerce platform which provided very limited functionality and features. Magento is an ultimate eCommerce solution which offers high scale of security and a great business environment. This migration project presented a number of complex challenges including products’ data size, business rules, etc.

We initiated the project with a discovery workshop and it enabled us to understand the day to day operations of our client. Once we developed an in-depth understanding of our client’s needs, we developed an action plan for the project delivery in collaboration with the client.

Our action plan covered four key areas: data, extensions and custom code, themes, and customizations. The migration data also included ~8,000 unique products. We used the best practices to migrate their data from one platform to the other platform to maintain the data’s integrity.  We carefully planned data backups, data migration, data mapping, identification of dependencies and the verification processes.

With the support of our client, we completed the migration process without any hiccups. Upon completion, we trained our client’s team to efficiently use their new Magento platform.
